We firmly believe that an education is one of the most powerful tools that a child can possess, and by making sure that every child has safe access to their education, we can pave the way to a better future for thousands of Ugandan children.
Founded by Peter and Liina, the HAC Charity Foundation was born out of a necessity. After managing a hotel near the Sipi River in Uganda for a year, we noticed just how dire the situation for children really is. We saw children walk to school on busy roads each and every day, and we heard the horror stories of children who had been injured or killed due to road traffic incidents, and we knew we had to act.
The primary goal of the HAC Charity Foundation is to provide children and drivers with proper road safety training and education, to ensure that best practices are adopted on the road. From there, our initiatives have gone on to fund distribution projects, where children throughout Uganda have received high-quality reflector products to make them more visible to drivers when walking on the road.
From reflector shirts and reflector socks, to detachable reflectors that can be seamlessly installed on bags and more, our goal is to help make children visible on the road. So far, we’ve contributed to saving the lives of more than 10,000 Ugandan children, but our work has only just begun.
At the HAC Charity Foundation, our mission is simple – we want to keep Ugandan children safe on the road. We know just how high the stakes are, and we don’t want to leave it up to chance. We’re continuously striving to provide new solutions, in addition to road safety education and reflectors, to ensure that children are seen.
